Admissions

Thank you for your interest in Corona Christian High School. This packet includes all the forms needed to complete an application for admission. Specific instructions for these forms and for other aspects of the admission process are outlined below. Openings are limited and applicants are encouraged to apply as soon as possible, but no later than May 1. Class placement is pending available space and is not confirmed until an applicant completes the admission procedures and the school receives the Registration and Enrollment Agreement and $400 registration fee.

Application Procedures

APPLICATION: Please complete the attached Application, and have the proposed student personally complete the Student Information Form and respond to the required Essay Questions. At least one parent/guardian and the applicant must sign the Certification and Honor Code and then return the Application, Essay and PEERS exam via fax to (951) 346-3152 or e-mail to Admissions@CoronaSaints.com. You may also mail the completed package to Admissions: 615 S. Victoria Ave. Corona, CA 92879.

GRADES/TRANSCRIPT: Parents and/or guardians must provide to the applicant's current school the Request for Records Release. Please follow up with your current school to confirm that the request has been completed.

ACADEMIC REFERENCE: Please provide this form to a current teacher, school administrator, or counselor that knows the applicant personally. Please follow up to confirm that the Recommendation has been completed and sent to CCHS.

PERSONAL REFERENCE: Please provide this form to a pastor, youth leader, coach or other adult who knows the student well, and is NOT related to the applicant. Please have them complete the form and return it directly to CCHS.

PEERS EXAM: Applicant and at least one parent/guardian (preferably both) are required to take the PEERS exam. This is a “Worldview” test which will describe to CCHS the takers current worldview. This is NOT a pass or fail exam. It is used by CCHS to gauge the current level and understanding of the applicant’s worldview. A similar exam will be taken close to graduation to evaluate the level of success of the CCHS curriculum and approach in administering a Christian Worldview. PERSONAL INTERVIEW: A personal interview will be required with the applicant and the applicant's parent or guardian. Appointments will be arranged by the Principal after the application and all other required forms have been received.

ADMISSION & ENROLLMENT: Applicants will be notified as soon as possible after completion of the foregoing steps regarding their acceptance and admission to CCHS. After notification of acceptance, the parents/guardians will be asked to complete and return a Registration and Enrollment Agreement and pay a $400 non-refundable registration fee. Parents will also be asked to submit copies of the applicant's birth certificate and up-to-date immunization record.

TUITION & FEES: Upon receipt of the Registration and Enrollment Agreement and non-refundable $400 Registration fee, class placement will be confirmed, or in classes where enrollment openings are limited, applicants may be placed in a wait pool. Class placement may occur from the wait pool but is not guaranteed. 2009/2010 tuition is $7,500. Tuition is due August 1, 2009. You may also pay tuition in 10 monthly installments of $790 (a $40 monthly service fee will apply).

It should be understood that enrollment is contingent upon maintenance of a satisfactory academic and general record. Official transcripts from the applicant's school must be submitted to CCHS prior to admission.
